Yank and Crank Charters

All trips leave from the Punta Rassa public boat ramp located at the end of Summerlin Rd., right next to the Sanibel toll booth on the mainland side of the Sanibel Causeway.

     From I-75:

     1)  Take exit 131 (Daniels Parkway/SWF Airport) off of I-75.  At the end of the ramp, take a left (if exiting I-75 from the South heading North), or a right (if exiting I-75 from the North heading South) onto Daniels Parkway (heading West).

     2)  Take Daniels Parkway 2.5 miles and turn LEFT onto Six Mile Cypress/Ben C. Pratt.  Also, follow signs to Sanibel.

     3)  Take Six Mile Cypress/Ben C. Pratt past the Twins baseball stadium (on right), over the railroad tracks, and then continue through the light and cross over U.S. 41 (c.3 miles).

     4)  Once over U.S. 41, Six Mile Cypress/Ben C. Pratt is renamed Gladiolus Dr.

     5)  Jockey over to the left lane of Gladiolus Dr. and prepare (c.1.5 miles) to exit to the LEFT on a one lane "fly over" bridge that will drop you down into the highspeed lane of Summerlin Rd ( heading West).

     6)  Take Summerlin Rd. to the end (C.10 miles).  Summerlin Rd. ends at the Sanibel toll booth.

     7)  C.150 ft. before the Sanibel toll booth, exit to the RIGHT in the dedicated exit lane from Summerlin Rd. onto Punta Rassa Rd. (big sign: "Last Exit Before Toll").  Do not go through the traffic light or the Sanibel toll booth.

     8)  The Punta Rassa public boat ramp will be immediately on your left (you will be staring at the public restroom as you exit onto Punta Rassa Rd.).  Your first 'left' is a one-way exit from the lot.  Take the 2nd left into the ramp area (directly opposite the Sanibel Harbor Resort sign, which will be on your right).

     9)  There is a kiosk that accepts bills or coins ($10 - no change), and issues a parking pass.  Place the pass on the driver's side dashboard and park your car along Punta Rassa Rd. in the single car parking spaces.  Cars parked in 'boats and trailers only' spaces will be ticketed.
